Phoenix Media Network, a nearly 40-year-old leader in produce industry media, is delighted to announce the appointment of Angelica Gayon as Regional Director of Business Development.

Gayon will concentrate its efforts in California, Arizona, Mexico, and South America. Recently, Gayon served as the Chief Operating Officer of LiDAR America, a corporation based in Fullerton, California that specializes in aircraft and drone mapping. Despite having no prior experience in topography, bathymetry, or geophysics, Gayon generated $700,000 in sales in 2018 and 2019 for LiDAR America, plus more than $500,000 during the pandemic, demonstrating the depth and strength of talent she brings to the produce industry media business.

I want industry collaboration and growth.

“My objective is to promote collaboration and expansion within the industry, so that everyone benefits. The objective is to integrate all of our platforms into a unified system so that our retail and foodservice buyers can experience the most innovative and effective marketing techniques. “My colleagues inspire me to uphold the illustrious legacy of Phoenix Media Network and to strive for positive change in our industry,” says Gayon.

Gayon contributes years of experience managing the challenges of international trade, logistics, legislation, and language barriers to her new position. The fresh produce industry has become a global profession. Her career in sales and marketing began when the world began to recognize China’s innovative and cost-effective products.

She ultimately spent three years in Hong Kong before relocating to California to work at LiDAR America. During this period, Gayon established strong relationships with numerous clients, including well-respected experts and influential opinion leaders in industries including agriculture, hydrology, cartography, geophysics, and archaeology. Despite her initial unfamiliarity with these areas, she was able to complete transactions with private and public institutions in the United States and Latin America within weeks.

Angelica joining Phoenix Media Network is great.

“We are thrilled that Angelica has joined the Phoenix Media Network staff. Her proven track record in sales and marketing, experience in international markets and with high-volume buyers, fluency in English and Spanish, and enthusiasm for the position will contribute significantly to our mission to Initiate Industry Improvement, according to Ken Whitacre, publisher and event director.
